A Pioneer in the Albanian Solar Energy Market
EuroElektra was founded in 2008 with a mission to provide Albanians with access to solar energy. The company began by installing small solar systems for homes and businesses. In 2010, EuroElektra became a limited liability company and expanded its activities to include the distribution of solar products.
In 2015, EuroElektra became a partner and exclusive distributor of well-known brands in the field of photovoltaic panels production, such as Fronius, SMA, LG Solar, and PEIMAR. This partnership helped EuroElektra become a leading provider of solar energy products and services in Albania.
In 2016, EuroElektra realized the first industrial project for self-consumption without injection in the Almoso Fush-Kruje network. This project was a major milestone for EuroElektra and helped establish the company as a leader in the Albanian solar energy market.
In 2017, Albania passed a law that allowed power producers to exchange energy with the net metering network. EuroElektra was one of the first companies to benefit from this law and since then the company has installed a number of net metering systems.
In 2018, EuroElektra became the authorized distributor for Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia of one of the largest photovoltaic manufacturers in the world, SUNPOWER. This partnership further strengthened EuroElektra's position as the leading provider of solar energy products and services in the region.
In 2019, EuroElektra created the interest group for
self-producers of solar energy.
This group is dedicated to promoting the use of solar energy in Albania and providing support to solar energy producers.
In 2020, EuroElektra installed the first industrial photovoltaic installations with capacities above 1 MW. These installations were a major milestone for the company and helped demonstrate the potential of solar energy to meet the needs of large-scale energy consumers.
In 2021, EuroElektra won the largest state-owned PV project in Albania, which is the Vaut Deja Solar Dam. This project is a major step forward for the development of solar energy in Albania and is expected to produce enough electricity to power over 10,000 homes.
EuroElektra is the leading company in the photovoltaic market in Albania. The company has over +40MW of installed capacity and has installed solar systems for a wide range of customers, including homes, businesses and utilities.
